Picha Djohangraduated in law from the University of Sydney in 1993. She commenced practise as a barrister in 2010 having been an advocate since 1997. She obtained her MBA in 2017.
Prior to commencing practice at the Bar, Picha was practice head of HWL Ebsworth Lawyers Melbourne Planning, Environment and Government Services practice and before that she headed up the extensive state-wide planning practice of MacDonnells Law, one of Queensland’s oldest and largest state-based law firms.

She has appeared in trials and appeals as counsel in her own right and also as junior counsel to silk in leading decisions in the Planning & Environment Court and in VCAT. She has extensive experience in all aspects of planning processes in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Picha has been a Sessional Member of VCAT in its Planning & Environment List since 2017. As a result she can no longer accept retainers to appear in VCAT and now confines her barrister Planning practise principally to matters in Queensland.
